IceBreak is a native application server
for the iSeries that helps developers build and deploy Web applications using RPG or COBOL embedded SQL and XML.

IceBreak uses native OS/400 objects that execute directly from the IceBreak server.

IceBreak programs are real i5/OS
program objects with no scripting and no overhead. IceBreak gives developers the option to deploy legacy iSeries applications to the Web and develop new native Web applications.

Developers can build applications using their PC Web-design tool of choice and then deploy the application to the iSeries.

RPG or COBOL programs in IceBreak are developed independently from the browser files in a similar manner in which green-screen display-file applications are developed. IceBreak let you develop your business logic in an RPG or COBOL program separate from the browser file.

 

With IceBreak you are able to create very efficient web application - running directly on an iSeries server as a compiled program, and due to the IceBreak native server your applications is protected against subtile activity on the internet.
