Mazda Motor Denmark optimizes its paper flow by using a document portal in an IBM i™

Danish legislation requires that car dealers prepare two different certificates for classifying new cars. 

The legislation also requires that the certificates are filled out and signed by the car manufacturers’ representatives in Denmark. The documents serve as proof of ownership and are used when license plates are issued.

At Hendriksen & Søn a/s IceBreak is used to merge IBM i™ data with Microsoft Office and produce individualized quotations

Individual quotations for individual solutions is the key concept at Hendriksen & Søn a/s.

With a production of more than 500,000 catalogs, magazines and books per day, it has proven difficult to balance between individualization and uniform mass production. Quotes written in Aspect/4 have a tendency to look like “pick lists”, which can be tiresome reading for the customer.

Mols-Linien’s internet booking system used a Windows Server for years. It was a complicated solution.

The introduction of every new feature required a big investment and a lot of coordination between many different suppliers. Today, the Windows Server hosts only static information and pictures. The strategic business applications have all been moved to the safety of the IBM i™.

IceBreak convinced the customer to go for an IBM i™ solution

Tjenestemændenes Låneforening was confronted with the fact that their current fiscal system was obsolete. The solution to their problems was buying an IBM i™ based loan application system. However, they needed it to be truly Web enabled, not screen scraped.

The loan system was fully Web-enabled within 5 months. 90 percent of the original loan system was reused. It took only two person-months to develop the user interface.
