InterForm PDF Security and Digital Signature
InterForm fulfils the high requirements to security when using electronic documents, set by Danish and European law per January 1 st 2004.

InterForm PDF Security & Digital Signature can 128bit encrypt, password protect and digital sign PDF-documents, using an official OCES-certificate (Official Certificates for Electronic Service).

Necessary security for external documents .
Security is necessary when a print-out is transformed into a PDF-document and send via the Internet.

The module InterForm PDF & Mail can transform and send print-outs as PDF-documents via e-mail - however the security is not in place until InterForm PDF Security & Digital signature is installed.

Digital Signature verifies the sender
The digital signature can identify an organisation, a company or an individual. The various signatures can be read by and saved in InterForm.

Once the signature is stored in InterForm, it can be used dynamically following the established guidelines. E.g. it is possible to have the company's digital signature on all electronic invoices and a personal signature on all purchase orders.

The digital signature is supported in all areas of InterForm where a PDF-document is created.

 

Encryption is the best insurance against misuse
To ensure that PDF-documents are not tampered with, you can use a 128bit encryption key. The encryption key is an integrated part of OS/400 and is supplied as standard feature by IBM.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is set to receive encrypted documents, and will automatically show the contents. InterForm can be set up to control whether the recipient may copy, change or print the documents received.

Password ensures that sensitive data is only read by the authorized people.
The PDF-documents can be protected with a password, and in combination with encryption this ensures that the documents are only ready by a recipient having the correct password.

Passwords can be set individually by recipient and the sender can choose to keep an extra master-password.

Publishing documents
InterForm is the perfect solution when publishing sensitive documents like price lists and statistical information.

The pricelists is created individually per customer and is protected misused with a password. When encrypted the attributes of the pricelist file is limited, so that it cannot be printed or copied from. This means that the recipient cannot make unauthorised paper copies or copy the prices to another document - and in the event that the recipient gives the pricelist to someone else, the personal password makes it possible to trace the source.
