To begin with, the installation of InterForm was only
meant as a replacement of a number of dot-matrix
printers but it soon became clear that InterForm was
geared to handle many more tasks than first thought.

Invoice
In Denmark Volvo has 4 different companies. For that reason only the blue Volvo-logo is featured on the pre-printed forms which means that large quantities of the forms can be purchased. The 4 companies are even able to print on the same printers.

Guarantee Slip
Before InterForm was installed guarantee slips were printed on matrix printers on pre-printed fan-folded paper with either Volvo's or Renault's logo which meant that the paper had to be changed many times a day.
Now the logos and the text are printed in one procedure and in the same order as the invoices which makes insertion in envelopes easier.

Certificate
Before InterForm was introduced the certificate were printed on pre-printed forms from the Danish customs and tax authorities. The disadvantage was that the printing company made minor displacements from time to time and the form did not follow 6 or 8 lines per inch, which made it impossible to fill it in properly with a laser printer. Furthermore, change of paper in the printer had to be done frequently.
Today, Volvo just receives a new PDF file from the taxation authorities when changes are made to the form. The form is then imported into InterForm and printed with maximum accuarcy.

Type Certificate
Before InterForm was installed the type/model information was typed on a typewriter. It was quite a time-consuming affair as there was more than 50 different versions of type certificate forms.
Now the type certificate is a true copy of the certificate from the Danish Road and Traffic Authorities.
The certificate is printed on blank white paper.
